And prospects that pedantry can become counterproductive

Comrade Tom Nichols sounds the alarm. It’s kinda quiet though.

I share Tom’s alarm about Donald Trump. But I’m also at least a little alarmed by Tom’s views of language, and I think they might undermine his efforts toward a good goal. Here’s an interview he did November 29th followed by my commentary:

1) Fascism, genocide, words for crimes, caring about words, when words won’t work, and talking about talking:
